Do you own all the albums of any particular musical artist or group? Who?
Submitted by dutterman.
U2
Coldplay
I just realised something. If you count all the Best Ofs, I don't actually own all the U2 albums! I didn't buy their most recent release because it only had two new songs and I wasn't about to shell out that much money for songs I already owned. I'm not feeling the U2 love lately, I guess.
Who would you like to trade places with for one day and why?
Submitted by Nathalie.
And only on January 20, 2009...if she wins. :-)
Why? Because I always wanted to be the first woman President of the United States.
You have $100 to spend online in the next hour. How are you going to spend it?
Amazon.com, for some used books about the JFK assassination.
There's one in particular that I'm going to buy ASAP. It's by Jesse Curry, who was the Chief of Police in Dallas during the assassination. The book is highly recommended by other researchers, as Curry makes some comments in his book that would lead one to believe that the case against Oswald wasn't as airtight as they led the press and the public to believe.
Gee. Can you imagine? :-P
And I'd probably get the X-Files Season 4 DVDs. I've got the first three seasons and want to get all of them. I miss that show. David Duchovny has a new show on Showtime called "Californication" starting soon. Sounds promising. And Jason told me there's a new X-Files movie in the works! YAY! (Jason's a HUGE X-Phile like me. He's got a poster like Mulder's hanging up in the office by our desks.)
Hmm. I just got an idea for Halloween this year...
What are five things that most people don't know about you?
Submitted by mika.
1. I scrapbook. Well, techinically, I make my own scrapbooks. They're made from blank books that I've added patterned paper, ribbons, tags, and other doodads to so they look pretty. At least people who've received the books think they're pretty...
2. From kindergarten to fifth grade I attended a Lutheran school. My fifth grade teacher was going through a divorce and I didn't learn much of anything that year, so my mom switched me to public school for sixth grade.
3. I was engaged to be married once. Back in 1999, my boyfriend and I got engaged. We set the wedding date (September 2, 2000), I had a ring, I picked out my colors and bridesmaids and chose table decorations. My mom made a veil and I'd asked my aunt to make me a dress. The fall of 1999 I decided to go back to college to finish my bachelor's degree and he didn't like that. We broke up in May 2000 when he threw me out of the house (with no place else to go--I ended up living with a friend until I could get a place of my own).
Needless to say, we didn't get married. Thank God.
4. I collect Kennedy stuff. I have old Life, Look and Saturday Evening Post magazines from his presidency and assassination. I also have a set of salt shakers (one with his face, the other with Jackie's face, but I forget who is salt and who is pepper); several mismatched dinner plates with the President and his family; and a drinking glass with his face painted on the side. All courtesy of my mother, who used to travel a lot in the state for her job. She'd visit antique malls and buy things for me. She, however, did not give me my favorite and most prized magazine: the February 21, 1964 issue of Life magazine with Lee Harvey Oswald on the cover.
5. When I was in kindergarten, I had a crush on a boy in my class named Aaron. I used to pass love notes to him--I'd tear scraps off homework assignments, write "I Love You" on the paper, and pass them over to him. Sometimes I'd chase him on the playground and try to kiss him. He didn't like me back and in fifth grade told me I was ugly. I think it scarred me for life--hence my current issues with a certain person.
Well, now it's clinched--I'm a complete dork. :-)
What board game are you really good at? Really bad at?
Good--Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly (though I get really nasty and competitive while playing Monopoly)
Bad--checkers
In between--Clue, Cranium
